Notice of Budget Hearing and Notice of Special Town Meeting




 Public Hearing-Budget – Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday the 16th day of November, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at the Barton Town Hall, a Public Hearing on the proposed 2022 Budget for the Town of Barton will be held. The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection at the Town Clerk’s office November 9th , 11th  and 15th from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. See the attachment for the summary of the proposed 2022 Town of Barton Budget.

 Special Town Meeting of the Electors – Please take notice that a Special Town Meeting of the Electors will follow the completion of the Public Hearing on the proposed 2022 Budget. This special meeting of the electors is called pursuant to Sec. 60.12 (1) (b) of Wisc. Stats. By the Town Board for the following purposes:

 1.                  To adopt the 2021 Town Tax Levy to be paid 2022 pursuant to Sec. 60.10 (1) (a) of Wisc. Stats.

 Special Town Board Meeting – Please take notice that a Special Town Board meeting will be held following the Special Town Meeting of Electors pursuant to Sec. 60.40 (4) of Wisc. Stats. For the following purposes:

 1.                  To adopt the proposed 2022 Budget for the Town of Barton.

 Please Note: The Town of Barton Town Board Meeting will follow the completion of the Budget Meetings at 7:30 P.M. or shortly thereafter.

This service runs from May through October 13 in 2021 and is available to residential propertes only.  You MUST CALL DON MAURER 262-338-8253 to have your brush chipped.

Pile branches with the cut ends all laying the same way and spread out enough so as not to create a tangle of brushes. The cut ends need to face the road and be approximately 2 ft from edge of pavement. The pile cannont exceed 3 ft in height. Please leave 2 ft between piles. The thickest part of the branch cannot be more than 4 inches in diameter. Please trim forks on heavy branches. 

If these rules are not followed, brush will not be removed and property owner will be resposible for removal. If you would like to keep chips, please inform th men doing the chipping. If you would like chips, please call Don Maurer.

Please do not abuse chipping service.  This is not meant as a way to clear heavy brush-filled areas and woods or as clean-up from professional tree service cutting your trees. 

2021 Annual Town Meeting

The 2021 Annual Town Meeting is Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. Location: Barton Town Hall, 3482 Town Hall Rd. Kewaskum.

This meeting provides a review of the 2020 in the Town of Barton, including the Financial Report and a chance for the Town Electors to bring up matters with the Town Board.
