Any resident who disputes their property assessment may appeal it with the Board of Review. This body is quasi-judicial (court-like) empowered with the following duties:

• Adjust assessments when proven incorrect by sworn oral testimony. 
• Correct errors or omissions in the descriptions or computations found on the assessment roll. 
• Check the assessment roll for omitted properties or double assessments.
