Public Budget Hearing and Notice of Special Meeting of Electors
Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at the Barton Town Hall, located at 3482 Town Hall Rd, Kewaskum, Wisconsin, a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED BUDGET of the Town of Barton, Washington County, will be held. The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection at the clerk’s office in the town hall during the clerk’s office hours. Summary of proposed 2024 budget can be found under Meetings and Minutes.
Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, immediately following the completion of the Public Hearing on the proposed town budget, which begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Barton Town Hall, located at 3482 Town Hall Rd, Kewaskum, Wisconsin a special town meeting of the electors, called by the town board pursuant to sec. 60.12(1)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes, will be held for the following purpose:
- To adopt the 2023 town tax levy to be paid in 2024 pursuant to sec. 60.10(1)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

WOODFORD STEEL BRIDGE CLOSED
Wisconsin Department of Transportation has asked the Town of Barton to close the Woodford Dr steel bridge to all traffic due to lack of inspection. It will reopen when the state department deems it safe.

Incumbent Supervisor, Jerry Meulemans, has given Notification of Noncandidacy and will not be a candidate for the office of Supervisor at the next election of April 5, 2022.
If you are interested in running for the office of Supervisor for the Barton Town Board. Papers must be filed by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
